Step by Step Guide on Printing Sewing Patterns
From Sewing Pattern Secrets Five Free Patterns

If you’re working with PDF sewing patterns, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to print them:
Download the Sewing Pattern File:
Use a laptop or desktop to download the pattern. Most mobile devices aren’t set up for PDF downloads, but this might change in the future.
The reason why you should download the PDFs first instead of printing directly from the browser, (which is where it probably starts being viewable for you), is because you have more control over the settings from the desktop.
Open the Sewing Pattern PDF to Print:
Make sure you have Adobe Reader or similar on your computer in order to preview and print the patterns and instructions.
Open the downloaded PDF file using a PDF reader like Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Check Printer Settings:
Before printing, select the correct pattern document for your printer. Then verify your printer settings. Choose the correct paper size (A4 or Letter) in the settings based on your pattern.
Ensure the “Print as Image” option is selected if available2 .
Print PDF Sewing Patterns:
Print the pattern pages. Most patterns include a test square to check accuracy.
Layout the printed pages in a grid to assemble the full pattern. Diagrams of the paper layout are provided with each instruction set. See page nine in the screenshot below.
Tape the pages together to create the complete pattern. (Align the pages adjacent to each other. No overlapping, no trimming. Try to tape the pattern one row at a time horizontally and then tape all the rows to each other vertically.

Remember, PDF patterns offer convenience and flexibility, allowing you to print them as many times as needed. Happy sewing! 😊
