The Sewing Brew is an educational sewing newsletter created by Marjorie (Margie) Vaudreuil, founder of Sewing Pattern Secrets — a pattern-based sewing education platform designed to help sewists understand how garments are constructed, fitted, and finished.

The Sewing Brew exists to support sewists who want clear explanations, practical guidance, and real learning, not just inspiration or trends.

The Sewing Brew delivers educational sewing content directly to your inbox, including:

Our content is written for beginner through experienced sewists who want to sew with confidence and understand why garments fit and behave the way they do.

How The Sewing Brew Connects to Sewing Pattern Secrets

The Sewing Brew is published by the creators of Sewing Pattern Secrets, a curated library of 150+ designer-level sewing patterns paired with matching written instructions, illustrations, and 46 instructional videos.

Unlike most sewing resources, Sewing Pattern Secrets focuses on pattern-based learning, where:

  • Instructions match the pattern

  • Videos follow the same construction logic

  • Sewists don’t have to hunt for tutorials that may not apply

The Sewing Brew supports this learning system by expanding on:

  • Pattern selection

  • Fit and adjustment concepts

  • Construction methods

  • Design thinking behind the patterns

Patterns from Sewing Pattern Secrets are currently available exclusively through our official sales funnel.

Our Educational Philosophy

We believe sewing education should be:

  • Structured, not scattered

  • Pattern-specific, not generic

  • Body-aware, with attention to fit and measuring

  • Skill-building, from beginner to confident sewist

The Sewing Brew reflects this philosophy by providing learning-focused content that complements hands-on sewing projects.
