👶 Sew Stylish Through Every Stage: Explore Our Maternity Collection 💕
Flattering, functional, and thoughtfully designed—our Maternity Collection was made for sewists who want comfort and beauty without compromise.
Whether you're sewing for yourself, a client, or a loved one, these patterns offer wearable silhouettes designed to accommodate a growing bump while maintaining clean lines, polished finishes, and elevated style. From bump-friendly shirtdresses to soft jersey tops and floaty wrap dresses, you'll find options for all levels of sewists—plus expert guidance to help you get a professional finish.
Each pattern includes detailed material recommendations, construction notes, and tips for adapting your sewing practice for maternity wear.
👗 1. The Maternity Shirt Dress
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Fabric Requirements: Light to medium-weight wovens
✅ Cotton shirtings, chambray, broadcloth, linen blends
✅ Up to 25% stretch across the weft (optional)
We Used: Chambray
Notions: 1 yard of fusible interfacing and ten ½” buttons
Special Considerations:
This dress includes refined tailoring details like a full button placket and optional waist shaping.
The pattern prints across a large number of pages due to its full-coverage style—plan your print layout accordingly.
👩🏫 Ideal for the experienced sewist ready to invest time in construction and detail. Think weekend brunch, baby showers, or even a casual workday look.
👚 2. “The Tie That Binds” Jersey Maternity Top
Skill Level: Advanced (Jersey)
Fabric Requirements:
✅ Medium-weight jerseys (6–10 oz) with 5–10% stretch
✅ Cotton jersey, bamboo blends, or cotton-spandex blends
We Used: Cotton Jersey
Notions:
One-sided fusible interfacing (8”x10”)
4” x 1” cotton elastic
Special Considerations:
Although a friendly pattern, this is best attempted after successfully completing a few knit garments with sleeves and necklines.
The tie detail adds a sweet focal point, while the elastic is decorative and functional.
🎯 Easy enough for confident beginners—this is a wardrobe staple for pregnancy and postpartum alike.
👗 3. The Sweet & Sassy Maternity Wrap Dress
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Fabric Requirements: Lightweight, drapey wovens with up to 3% spandex
✅ Ponte, crepe de Chine, double georgette, voile
✅ Soft, breathable fabrics with natural ease of movement
We Used: (Cotton 95% Spandex 5%)
Notions:
1 yard of 1.25" elastic waistband
2 buttons (¾"–1")
2 yards of lightweight fusible interfacing
Special Considerations:
Designed for yardage 54"–60" wide
The relaxed shape and subtle wrap make this ideal for warmer weather and events like baby showers, baptisms, or garden weddings.
💡 A lovely transitional piece—this is the perfect dress to carry you through all three trimesters and beyond.
💕 Maternity Sweet & Sassy Tunic Top
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Wear It Your Way — From Bump to Beyond!
Designed with versatility in mind, the Sweet & Sassy Tunic Top adapts beautifully to your changing body—and beyond. Whether you're in your first trimester, navigating postpartum comfort, or simply love a forgiving, feminine silhouette, this tunic delivers stylish ease with a clever fit.
Fabric Requirements:
✔ Wovens: Light to medium-weight with soft drape
✔ Knits: Mid-weight stretch fabric with up to 6% spandex (max 25% stretch on the weft)
We Used: Medium-weight Charmeuse — which gave this tunic a more structured silhouette, turning it into a chic mini dress option.
Special Considerations:
This pattern is intentionally multi-functional: wear it as a maternity tunic, a flattering postpartum top, or even a structured mini dress for date night.
The adaptable design means it works equally well in drapey fabrics for softness or in firmer fabrics for shape.
🌿 Style Tip: Add a belt above the bump for a bit more shape, or wear it loose for relaxed elegance. Pairs beautifully with leggings, skinny jeans, or worn solo for a flirty mini-dress look.
🧵 Beginner-friendly, but rewarding for intermediate sewists looking to experiment with different fabric types or silhouettes.
Whether you're sewing ahead for early pregnancy or want something stylish to wear after, the Sweet & Sassy Tunic is your go-to.
💬 Final Note:
This collection combines classic silhouettes with thoughtful pattern design to offer maternity styles that don’t feel temporary. Instead of oversized or boxy, our maternity garments are crafted with details like gathered bodices, optional ties, and clean finishes—designed to evolve with the wearer and offer confident, comfortable style throughout pregnancy.
Each pattern is professionally graded, includes a sizing chart, and comes with our expert-backed construction guidance. If you ever feel unsure about a step or fabric choice—ask inside the community or email [email protected] for help.
🪡 From the first trimester to those final nesting weeks, you’ll feel proud to say:
